School of the Alternative is a socially integrated experience with intimate classes, communal living, and emphasis on shared labor. We will all live, learn, teach, and work together for three weeks this May, in the magical mountains of Black Mountain, North Carolina.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Join us for 1, 2, or 3 weeks as a student! We offer both half and full scholarships based on financial need. There are no pre requisites, and no requirements other than you be 18+.
Join us for 1, 2, or 3 weeks as a student! Cost is $400/week, and includes lodging, food, etc.! There are no pre requisites, and no requirements other than you be 18+.
SOLID FACULTY APPLICATION
Join us for 1 week as a solid faculty member! Solid classes are structured sequentially, in a more traditional framework. Students will be encouraged to attend all sessions, as each classes builds on the last.
Solid classes are one week long, and can meet for 2, 3, or 5
2 hour sessions.
LIQUID FACULTY APPLICATION
Join us for 1 or 2 weeks as a liquid faculty member! Liquid classes are structured fluidly, as a series of one-offs. Each session must be able to stand alone, as students may come to one or all sessions.
Liquid classes can be one or two weeks long, and can meet for 2, 3, or 5
2.5 hour sessions.
